Forebear: Diving In A Cinematic Experience
Imaginative, creative, elusive and addictive
Cinematic, poetic, melodic, rhythmic and somewhat unique,
Forebear’s music is one tasty piece of a one-of-kind soothing experience.
The viola, brought by the classically trained Molly Rogers, gives a hint of sensitivity that paints over the atmosphere
With the color of an overwhelming feeling…
Feelings usually indescribable, the leader of the band, Scott Goldbaum (formerly of Wise Cub), puts these feelings into words
Blowing their imaginative definitions through lyrics sang with a beautiful and emotive voice,
Supported by an expressive guitar illustrating even more a state of mind that anyone could relate to.
The harmony between the rhythm and these flows of melodies are due to the play of Mike Mussleman (drums) and Nick Chadian (bass).
People’s Champ is actually a poignant and dazed track narrating the story of lost love
These four musicians are among the most prolific ones in Los Angeles; individually band members have worked with artists/bands including Feist, Bastille, Randy Jackson, Keith Urban, Kimbra among others.
Despite the fact that the band is quite recent – a few months – did Forebear quickly catch the attention of famed producer/engineer Scott Gordon (Alanis Morissette, Ringo Starr).
Today, they’re working on their EP titled Cody, produced by Scott Gordon himself.
And the result is quite outstanding, indeed.
The lyrics are quite haunting, “like a ghost without a cause”.
Besides, the shortness of the song, 2min 34sec, makes it even more haunting, more addictive, more repetitive
Sticking to the mind, filling your spirit up with all kind of feelings
Melancholic, ironic, sarcastic, mystic, poetic…
The rest of the Cody EP is now highly anticipated.
