Ella Wylde – Trusting The Talent Of A Star In The Making
Brooklyn based singer Ella Wylde has just released her latest single Rich Girl, available now on all major digital platforms.
Her debut music video showcases in a beautiful way her talents as a multi-instrumentist and songwriter. She’s the kind of artist to switch from the guitar to the piano. Inspired by the docks, she quietly sings the melodies that rock her mind and soothe her heart.
Rich Girl is a true pop hit which pays homage to the Hall and Oates hit. What is more, you can seize a subtle hint to the band in the intro of the video, right when Ella replies “No can do“.
Ella Wylde has chosen this catchy and iconic song, made it her own, and did paint a contemporary soundscape around it. The track sounds modern, soulful and empowering.
Crafted, grounded and purely authentic, Wylde is the very first talent to be trusted and signed to 9th Floor Music record label. A&R manager Drew Dixon, who also produced Rich Girl, discovered Ella just after taking part in the MeToo silence breaker movement.
Ella Wylde’s personality and music tastes and culture quickly caught Dixon’s attention, spurring her on to start the label and focus on growing this young artist’s career.
Ella’s sound draws influence from many powerful musicians including the likes of Bob Dylan, Ariana Grande and Joni Mitchell, each one of her inspirations responsible for shaping her own artistic path. Label owner Drew Dixon has worked with a range of music greats throughout her early career in the industry, Lauryn Hill, John Legend, Whitney Houston and Mary J. Blige, 2Pac,… to name a few, back in the 90’s. She now puts her heart into young talent Ella, who she believe is capable of becoming one of her generations biggest stars!
Dixon is the first one to believe in Wylde and is willing to invest on her talent, making her the next singing sensation.
