She dives in a pool full of love, lost to the illusion of a beautiful dream,
Sleeps in an ocean of salty memories, that go back and forth in the back of her mind like tide and waves.
Wakes up in a bathtub full of tears with a leak of love, lone and weak
She lays and wonders if she’ll ever bloom again from her wounds
And finds the answer in a dogwood still Standing;
She still believes in Love.
She is Melody Federer, and she incarnates freedom when it comes to feelings and emotion.
Her voice is the highway to set all your feels free.
She’s so intimate and touching, she’d make you break down and cry:
Her music finds a reflect in the water of her eyes, and in the water of your eyes too.
Her new single “Bathtub Tears”, released this February 10th, all produced by herself, and surely the most intimate and heart-felt piece, makes the way to her much anticipated album, When The Dogwoods Bloom.
The album is out February 24th, and you can already pre-order it now, right here.
The direction is marvelous.
The image, all in shades of grey reminds of Adele (Hello). Just by the picture, we know it’s about to be a blast of emotion.
The video is visually powerful, indeed: when you picture a bathtub filled with tears, you first of all see an ocean (or a sea) letting you instantly imagine thay Melody has been crying (at least) a river.
The voice, smooth and haunting, soothes you like a lullaby, from a tender loving and comforting mother, would do.
The chorus is a melancholic anthem for Love that gets you right in the heart.
Bathtub Tears might e a masterpiece, and Something To Show is another songwriting genius, when it comes to creativity.
Each single is a one of a kind experience: the album is about to be mind-blowing, big time.
