Arctic Monkeys ‘Snap Out Of It’ Music Video Review – When A.M. shakes you up in the early morning

Do I Wanna Know [done], R U Mine [done] Why D’You Call Me Only When You’re High [done] One For The Road [done] Arabella [done] and eventually: SNAP OUT OF IT.

AM should have been called the Visual Album, just like a ‘you know whose’ album!

On this past June 16th, people could have given thanks and congratulations to the director of the official music video: Focus Creeps.

Focus creeps did a great job in the story-telling of this video; here is why:

Got “too deep in the deep“, emerging from your waters you need to wake up to reality.

So the very first cut is this glamour model type, for who anybody would fall, emerging from her swimming-pool. living her everyday-routine.

Her everday life used to de defined in the love she used to find into the one that used to make her feel naked.

Yet, by listening to the song, she’ll have to face a truth that’ll lead her everyday life into sad and black darkness, black like tar, like black treacle.

But the beauty doesn’t want to accept the ugly reality. She’d like to keep on swimming in an hypnotic illusion, stuck in a painful dream.

She may dream she won’t be having her meals alone for too long

(Focusing for so long on her pan and on how she’s so thoughtfully cooking)

She may dream her idyll is for ever, but…

The music she wants to listen to, may suddenly stop; deep silence playing instead,

While another kind of music is playing somewhere else. Shouldn’t she be so naive:

Rock bands cannot settle down like little stones in a hazardous terrain

Rock bands just keep it rolling, on the move; the more they roll, the more they (need to) get heart-hardened, may it hurt or not. (#RockDrummer)

Fortunately, this is a catchy happy song. In such a melancholy universe

A shy light may shine bright. By listening to this song, on and on,

You (identifying into the main actress, model type) will snap out of it!

Getting out from a torturous hypnosis, you’ll  just stop singing “i Wanna Be Yours” like a silly naive and blind one,

And, you’ll find love again: the love for yourself.

Since then, your mind breaks free and you’re shaking to the life.

Waking up to the true reality in which it feels good to swim endlessly.
