Goodfoot – Creative And Imaginative Songwriting
London-based duo Huw Foster & Danny Sharples join forces for a quite creative collaboration. Together they go by the name of Goodfoot, a funk & soul act.
Intelligent creations, they develop an imaginative songwriting, rich in uplifting melodies on the keys, memorable vocal toplines and surprising sound effects. The rhythmic guitar and the drums add an addictive groove to it all.
Drawing influence from the likes of Daft Punk,Chic, Erykah Badu and Prince, Goodfoot released their debut EP New Shoesin back in 2017.
In 2019, they’re back with the single ‘Love Come Down’, off of their eponymous EP.
“Love Come Down’ was actually the first song that we (Danny & Huw) wrote together. It only took us 5 years to release it!
Lyrically it’s about allowing oneself to become more vulnerable: “All the walls that I built, you’re tearing them down”.
We looked to artists such as Emily King, Prince and Janelle Monáe to name but a few.”
As a live act, Goodfoot perform as a 10-piece, fronted by Danny on leadvocals, and Huw on electric & synth bass. Horns, rhythm section and backingvocals complete a line-up that is 100% live.
