Drawing influences from a wide range of artists from Hiatus Kaiyote to Jeff Buckley, ‘No Matter What’s strong dynamic changes and meticulous arrangement of melodies collide into each other to create a stunning, almost overwhelming, musical portrait of anxiety.
‘No Matter What’ is the upcoming sophomore release from Gadigal (Sydney) based band, Sunset Place. Twisting soul, jazz, rock, and folk influences, Sunset Place create a unique sound full of luscious harmonies and groovy rhythms complemented by vocalist Jess Smallwood’s powerful voice and brooding lyrics.
Since the successful release of their debut single ‘Still Mourning’ in 2021, Sunset Place have wooed audiences around Sydney and continue to refine their craft both on stage and in the studio.
