Her name is Dyna Edyne, and the first time we’ve discovered her, we only knew covers from her.

Now she’s back with original material, which is quite a creative piece of work indeed.

She released her new EP Branches, on May 16th, which counts her debut single F.L.Y.

The title of her EP is directly inspired by the concept she pushes along her music; the concept of a Tree Woman.

This concept recalls works like Indian book A Flowering Tree: A Woman’s Tale. This short story is a woman-centered tale that establishes a sisterhood between women and nature.

Trees and forests being so sacred in India, seen as symbol of purity (cf Ice Moon – SZA music video) this is an honor for women. Besides, this concept of Tree Woman has inspired many feminists writers.

The beautiful metaphore of a Tree Woman is indeed a speaking image of a woman embracing her growth, her womanhood, and unashamed of her mind, body and soul.

This is freedom at its best. That’s why you have a Dyna Edyne freestyling and singing, in love with her body mind and soul; you couldn’t kill her vibe.

This way, she brings something else to the South Florida R&B scene.

Dyna Edyne is a Hip/Hop and R&B artist, though you cannot deny how soulful her vocals are.
